PHILADELPHIA - The National Parks of Philadelphia will host a job fair at the Independence Visitor Center (6th and Market Streets) on September 18, 2024, from 9:30 am - 4:00 pm.

09:30 - 10:15 - Federal resume writing workshop.
10:30 - 11:15 - How to apply to a federal job using USAJobs.gov. Tips and pitfalls.
11:30 - 12:15 - A session on the National Park Service mission and what jobs are available.
12:30 - 01:15 - Special hiring authorities (VEOA, VRA, Schedule A, etc.).
01:15 - 01:45 - Quick Tips on Federal Resume Writing (abbreviated version of the 9:30 session).
02:00 - 04:00 - Q&A with HR and Hiring Managers on hiring authorities, jobs available, USAJobs.

This Job Fair was timed to coincide with the Philadelphia conference of the 2024 Annual National HBCU Week Conference | White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity through Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
