Waynesburg U. President appointed to new role on AICUP Board of Directors

Waynesburg University President Douglas G. Lee will begin a new role as Vice Chair of the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania's (AICUP) Board of Directors. President Lee currently serves as the Board's Secretary/Treasurer.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving with AICUP in this new capacity. Their mission and commitment to the growth of Pennsylvania's independent, nonprofit institutions is incredibly important during this critical time in higher education, and I am honored to be a part of their work," said President Lee, who will commence as Vice Chair in September 2024.

President Lee has served in multiple facets within higher education since becoming president of Waynesburg University in 2013. He was appointed to the NCAA Division III Board of Governors in 2023 and has served as the Chair of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Presidents' Council. Comprised of 85 nonprofit member schools statewide, AICUP was established in October 1995 and works to advocate for affordable, accessible and independent higher education within the Commonwealth. The Board of Directors is comprised of presidents from member institutions across the state.
