Bruelheide Named Senior Director of Capacity Management for Kaleida Health

Lori Bruelheide, MBA, was named senior director of capacity management for Kaleida Health.

In this new system-wide role, Bruelheide will develop and help implement strategies that enable growth, promote network integrity and ensure operational efficiencies that streamline convenient, friction-free patient transfers within, and/or out of Kaleida Health. She will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and operational leadership to transfer center operations, bed management, patient flow, and ensuring quality patient care.

Bruelheide joins Kaleida Health from the University of Alabama Birmingham Health Services Foundation, where she served as director of capacity management and oversaw the advancement of best practice workflows for ambulatory template design and process improvements for scheduling to accommodate growth in patient demand. Previously, she also held roles as director of patient access at University of Maryland Faculty Physicians, Inc. in Baltimore, MD; director of ambulatory capacity management at Tri-Health, Inc. in Cincinnati, OH; and director for enterprise patient access services at UK HealthCare at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY.

She received her bachelor's degree from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, KY and her Master of Business Administration from Morehead State University in Morehead, KY. She is EPIC Certified - Access and Revenue Cycle Readiness.
