Raleigh’s New Parking Deck Upgrades Bring Speed, Convenience, and Modern Tech

The City of Raleigh is excited to announce the successful completion of significant upgrades to nine of its downtown parking decks, enhancing the urban parking experience for residents and visitors alike. The last of the upgrades were completed on the Blount Street parking deck on September 11.

Motorists were able to enjoy an upgraded parking experience with minimal disruption, as all nine decks remained operational throughout the project.

According to former Parking Manager Matthew Currier, "The enhancements will transition the City-owned parking decks into a modern and connected operation that is poised to provide a high level of customer service in the post-pandemic environment of hybrid workplaces and employee flexibility. These options will increase the speed at which customers are able to leave the deck and reduce frustration for customers waiting in line at exit."
