Drug Control Units Recovered 229 Grams of Fentanyl in Roxbury

At about 9:37 AM, on Thursday, September 12, 2024, members of the Drug Control Unit of District B-2 (Roxbury) and District C-6 (South Boston) arrested David Ruiz-Martinez, 24, of Dorchester, on drug trafficking charges.

Officers were conducting an ongoing drug investigation and execution of search warrants in the area of 16 Charlotte Street. As a result of the search warrant, officers recovered four plastic bags of Fentanyl with a combined weight of about 229 grams. Officers also recovered approximately $2,921 in U.S. Currency, and several paraphernalia items used in the re-sale of drugs.

Ruiz-Martinez was placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking of Class A. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
