This paper examines the case of Nigeria, which adopted a national policy to establish School-Based Management Committees (SBMCs)
Examining the case of Nigeria, which in 2005 adopted a national policy to establish SBMCs in state schools, this paper reviews the evidence available on SBMCs' ability to mobilise communities, and the potential for this increased community participation to translate into improved learning.
