Rouses Point male arrested stemming from a pursuit

press release

On November 1, 2024, State Police members arrested Joshua B. Corron, age 36, of Rouses Point, NY for unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle 3rd, criminal possession of stolen property 3rd, aggravated unlicensed operator 2nd, and reckless driving.

On November 1, 2024, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Troopers observed a gray 2017 Dodge Ram in the parking lot of Tedford's Automotive in the town of Champlain. Troopers were attempting to speak to the operator of the truck because that vehicle had been involved in other larceny cases. As the Troopers approached the operator, the operator failed to listen to commands from the Troopers. The operator got back into the truck and fled the scene, failing to comply, and initiating a pursuit. The pursuit lasted approximately 3 miles and came to an end when the operator of the truck failed to negotiate a left turn onto Lake Street, in the village of Rouse Point, exiting the roadway and overturns. The operator fled the scene on foot. Through further investigation, the Troopers and Clinton County Sheriff's Department determined the operator to be Corron. Corron was located a short time later with the assistance of the Clinton County Sheriff's Department and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers.

Corron was arrested and transported to SP Champlain for processing. He was arraigned in the Town of Champlain Court, where he was remanded to Clinton County Jail without bail.
