Investigation into Woman's Death at 1211 Gober Street

July 18, 2024- Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a woman found at 1211 Gober Street about 6:40 p.m. on Wednesday (July 17).

The identity of the woman, 31, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Althaus and P. Michon reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a report of a deceased person at a residence at the above address and met with a witness. Officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics entered the apartment and found an unresponsive woman lying on the bathroom floor. Paramedics pronounced the woman deceased.

The investigation is pending the woman's cause of death, to be determined by an autopsy.
