Rosie’s Dumfries Invests in Community Through Rosie’s Gives Back Program

~ Second Quarter contributions totaling $26,000 to support The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington, First Tee of Prince William County, Old Bridge Chamber Orchestra Foundation, Healthy Generations Area Agency on Aging~

DUMFRIES, VA., (July 19, 2024) - In the second quarter of 2024, Rosie's Dumfries contributed $26,000 through its Rosie's Gives Back program to support trusted community partners serving youth development, athletes with disabilities, community safety, and scholarship programs.

Recipients of contributions include:

  • $5,000 to The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington to further their mission to help boys and girls of all backgrounds, especially those who need it most, build confidence, develop character and acquire the skills needed to become productive, civic-minded, responsible adults.   • $10,000 to the First Tee of Prince William County by sponsoring the Dennis McCabe First Tee Shamble benefiting the First Tee of Prince William County. First Tee is a nationwide youth development program that impacts and prepares children for the challenges of today and tomorrow. The organization provides a total experience that encourages participants to learn the life-long game of golf, while developing personal and social skills and values.   • $2,500 to the Old Bridge Chamber Orchestra Foundation. The Old Bridge Chamber Orchestra is an all-volunteer ensemble established in 1998 by musicians dedicated to providing stirring, low cost or free, classical concerts in the greater Prince William area.   • $5,000 to the Healthy Generations Area Agency on Aging. Their mission is to enhance the quality of life for all older citizens. They provide services to support the continued independence of older community members. To learn about their services please visit Healthy Generations.

Rosie's Dumfries is proud to support a wide variety of organizations in our area that provide support and assistance throughout all segments of our community. Community nonprofit organizations can request financial, volunteer, in-kind, or other support through the Rosie's Gives Back program by submitting an online request form.

Rosie's Gaming Emporiums in Dumfries and around the state contribute to local organizations and causes through the "Rosie's Gives Back" program which has made $2.5 million in direct donations, $195,000+ in-kind contributions, and donated more than 2,500 hours of volunteer service. The program supports a range of nonprofits and causes around Virginia including groups providing services in education, workforce development, and support for veterans and law enforcement. The goal of the Rosie's Gives Back program is to meaningfully improve the quality of life in the communities where team members live and work.
