Chatham County…
Lane Closure Advisory for the US 17/SR 404 Spur Talmadge Bridge

Savannah, Ga. - Weather permitting, the Georgia Department of Transportation's (Georgia DOT) construction partners will soon implement a single, left lane closure in each direction on the US 17/State Route 404 Spur, Talmadge Bridge, through late November, as part of the early construction activities for the US 17/SR 404 Spur Bridge Major Maintenance Project (PI No. 0019219).

CLOSURES
  • Tuesday, Oct. 15, through Friday, Nov. 22, 2024
    • Northbound left lane full closure for the duration of the work period
    • Southbound daytime left lane closures, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This work includes construction of a concrete glare screen on the existing median barrier along the center of the bridge. This increases the height of the median barrier similar to other locations.

Visit the US 17/SR 404 Spur Bridge Major Maintenance Project website for more information: https://us17sr404-0019219-gdot.hub.arcgis.com/.
