Exactly a year ago today, Andrei Kurotškin died while serving with EUMAM Ukraine in a tragic training incident. Close relatives, Estonian representatives and EEAS key personnel gathered today to officially unveil his remembrance stone in the courtyard of the headquarters. The ceremony showed that we will not forget, that we stand strong together and that we look to the future with hope.
Everyday women and men of the EU risk their lives serving on the front line of EU Foreign Policy. We salute their courage, remember their lives and honour their sacrifice.
