Northeast section of Marshall Avenue and Lincoln Way Intersection to Close Monday

AMES, Iowa - The northeast section of the Marshall Avenue and Lincoln Way intersection will close for pavement removal and replacement, weather permitting, on Monday, Oct. 14.

All business access on the north side of Lincoln Way between Marshall and Franklin Avenues will be reopened. The sidewalk on the north side of Lincoln Way between Marshall and Franklin Avenues will remain closed during this stage. The sidewalk on the south side is open. The north side of Marshall Avenue will have no truck access during the closure.

This work is anticipated to take two weeks, followed by two weeks of median work in the center turn lanes.

The City of Ames has contracted with Con-Struct for the reconstruction of Lincoln Way from Beedle Drive to Franklin Avenue and is now completing stage seven of this project. More information is available at www.CityOfAmes.org/LincolnWay.
