Important Notice

Residents are now receiving letters about municipal aggregation. The City has selected MC Squared Energy Services, LLC (mc2), a Chicago-based company, to serve the eligible residents and small business customers with electric supply services for a 24-month term beginning with the September 2024 ComEd meter read cycle. You will be automatically enrolled in this program unless you opt-out.

A few reminders:

• You are still a ComEd customer for electricity delivery and metering purposes at your home or business.
• You continue to pay ComEd in the same manner as you currently do. There is no change in billing under the City's electric aggregation program.
• ComEd continues to be responsible for the wires, poles, and all emergencies, including outage restoration.
• There is no enrollment, switching or early termination fees under the City's electric aggregation program.

For more information, email [email protected] or call 833-206-3588, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. We encourage you to contact mc2 first before contacting the City with any questions. Please beware: any solicitor who comes to your door or calls, asking you to switch to a supplier is not associated with City of Rockford, mc2 or ComEd.
