One Male Deceased After Shooting in Sellwood Riverfront Park

A male is deceased after a shooting in Sellwood Riverfront Park.
On Friday, July 12, 2024 at 11:16 p.m., Portland Police Officers from Central Precinct responded to a report of someone shot in the park. When they arrived they found the victim deceased at the scene.
The suspect or suspects left the scene before police were called and no immediate arrests were made.
The Portland Police Homicide Unit is responding to the scene to investigate. During the investigation, Southeast Oaks Park Way is closed at Southeast Spokane Street.
Detectives believe many people were in the area at the time of the shooting and left without speaking to officers.
