U.S. Route 89 Construction Updates

Road Construction Notice:

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will resurface U.S. Route 89 in Weber County from SR- 193 (Exit 404) to the Weber River Bridge. The project objectives are aimed at preserving the life of the roadway. The paving process will help increase the longevity of the road surface, address roadway structural integrity and enhance motorist safety by providing a smoother, more durable road surface. The resurfacing includes the on/off ramps at SR-60 and SR-193, as well as the southbound concrete climbing lane.

Schedule

Project Start: As early as July 15

Days: Mon PM - Sun AM; (Mostly nighttime work)

Hours: 7pm - 5am (See website for details)

Work Complete: November 2024

Construction Impacts

• Potential for slower traffic during project work hours
• Motorists should expect lane closures, with barrels providing ample safety for crews from traffic
• Periodic ramp closures
  • Entrance and exit ramps will NOT be closed simultaneously in either direction
• All lanes will remain open during daytime hours and holidays
