Norton Rose Fulbright welcomes new US Chief People and Development Officer

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright today announced that Julie Tran, who is highly experienced in the areas of talent management, human resources and recruitment, has joined the firm as its US Chief People and Development Officer.

Based in Houston, Julie will oversee and manage the firm's recruiting, legal talent management, talent development, human resources and office administration teams. She will also work closely with firm leaders on various strategic initiatives to enhance the employee experience, foster an inclusive workplace where people feel valued and respected and drive innovation across all people-related functions.

Julie joins the firm from Vinson & Elkins where she served as the Senior Director of Talent, leading a team of business professionals in implementing global strategic talent initiatives for coaching, learning and development, employee relations, talent management, succession planning, well-being, diversity, equity and inclusion and alumni relations. She has significant experience executing talent strategies aligned with business objectives, specifically related to performance management and people experience initiatives.

Julie's addition enhances the global law firm's impressive roster of women leaders, with women making up 44% of its US Management Committee and of 80% of its C-suite, which also includes Chief Client Value and Innovation Officer Christy Bentz, Chief Information Officer Alexis Collins, Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer Emily Rogers and Chief Financial Officer Simon Wainwright.
