Fernwood Road Fire

On Saturday night, Nov. 30, at approximately 11:42 p.m., the Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD) responded to a structure fire located on Fernwood Road.

Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy fire coming from a single-story residence. TFD crews quickly began extinguishing the fire and searching the home for any possible occupants. Nobody was found inside the home during the search, but one patient was transported to a local hospital.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the State Fire Marshal's office.

The Tallahassee Fire Department was assisted on scene by Leon County EMS and the Leon County Sheriff's Office.
