Dublin Police to Hold a Prescription Drug Take-Back Event on Saturday, October 19

On Saturday, October 19, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Dublin Police will hold a prescription drug take-back, document shredding, and e-waste collection event at Dublin Civic Center (100 Civic Plaza).

At this free and anonymous event, Dublin Police Officers will collect tablets, capsules, and all other solid dosage forms of prescription medications - no questions asked. Intravenous solutions, injectables, and syringes will not be accepted. The goal of the event is to collect potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs for destruction. Prescription drug abuse is an epidemic in the United States, with teenagers abusing prescription medication in record numbers. One way that young people are getting addicted to dangerous drugs is by raiding the medicine cabinets of family and friends. This service will help keep your home safe and could save lives.

Because of an increase in identity theft these days, it is also wise to destroy any unnecessary documents which may contain your personal information. The document shredding truck is a safe and reliable service to help you get rid of personal documents that you no longer need.
