Bismarck Arts and Culture Plan

The City of Bismarck is pleased to announce the launch of the Bismarck Arts and Culture Plan. This initiative aims to develop a community-driven vision for the role that arts and culture plays in the community. To achieve this initiative, the City of Bismarck has partnered with Dakota West Arts Council, Bismarck Parks and Recreation District, Bismarck Public Schools, and Designing Local, a nationally recognized firm specializing in arts and culture planning.

Creating this plan has been a goal of the City of Bismarck since 2008. This plan will provide a framework for policies, procedures, programs, and organizational structures to support artists and the integration of public arts within the community.

Members of the community have the opportunity to provide their perspective on the role arts and culture plays in the community through the Bismarck Arts & Culture Survey. There will be additional opportunities within the upcoming months for members of the community to provide their input for this endeavor. Visit the project website for more information.
