MEMA ALERT: Coastal Flood Statement During High Tide Through Sunday

...MINOR COASTAL FLOODING DURING HIGH TIDE THROUGH SUNDAY... .Peak monthly high tides will bring minor flooding along the shoreline and in low-lying coastal areas. Coastal flooding is possible around the daily peak tide which will occur during the early morning hours.

...COASTAL FLOOD STATEMENT IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH
SUNDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Isolated minor coastal flooding expected.

* WHERE...Vulnerable low-lying coastal roadways, docks, boat
ramps, and other coastal infrastructure.

* WHEN...Late tonight through Sunday morning centered around the
daily peak tides.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of beaches that are normally dry, minor
coastal erosion, and saltwater inundation of low-lying roads,
docks, boat ramps, and other coastal infrastructure.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Avoid driving through flooded roadways. If you are forced to
drive through salt water, be sure to rinse your vehicle with
fresh water. Move electronics, vehicles or other valuables to
higher ground. Monitor vessels to ensure mooring lines don't get
too tight and watch out for overwash around boat ramps. Secure
canoes or other watercraft stowed on beaches.
