Investigation into Woman Found Deceased at 300 Sunnyside Street

August 16, 2024- Houston police are investigating the death of a woman found at 300 Sunnyside Street about 4:35 p.m. on Thursday (August 15).

The identity of the woman, believed to be 30 to 40 years of age, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N. Lazo and Detective M. Providence reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a welfare check call regarding a possible domestic disturbance at an apartment complex at the above address. Officers arrived and found an unresponsive woman inside an apartment. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the woman deceased.

The suspect is described only as a white male, 30 to 40 years of age. The investigation is ongoing.
