In a transformation of its well-known moniker, the LECOM Institute for Successful Aging has
been renamed as the LECOM Institute for Successful Living.

This name change reflects the growth and expansion of additional services that the Institute
recently has added within its continuum of care.

Dr. James Lin, President of the LECOM Institute for Successful Living, explained the name
change as one which best characterizes the forward mission of the organization.

For patients and residents, the name better reflects not only the expanded services, but it also
reinforces the importance of developing and maintaining health and wellness at any age.

Additionally, the term, "successful living," aligns with the whole-person care reflected within the
core principles of osteopathic medicine - those of mind, body, and spirit - spotlighting the
foundation upon which the entire organization is built.

The name and logo will continue to be updated over the coming weeks as LECOM makes
changes to printed materials, signage, and other items.
