Storm Alert - September 13, 2024 - ALL CLEAR

Hurricane Francine, once a Category 2 storm, has weakened into a post-tropical cyclone. As Francine moved inland, flood watches and wind advisories were in effect for the Mississippi Delta, Tennessee Valley, and Southeastern U.S. Francine continues to pose a threat of heavy rainfall and flash flooding across parts of Mississippi, Arkansas, Kentucky, and Georgia.

Louisiana is home to six refineries, which began recovery efforts on Thursday. The state's largest refinery, and the sixth largest in the US, reported minimal damage and is back to full production after dropping to 20% during the storm. Other refineries are either operating normally or completing damage assessments before restarting. No major damage has been reported post-storm, indicating that supply should quickly return to normal levels.

Mansfield is continuing to monitor Tropical Depression Seven, currently in the central tropical Atlantic about 955 miles west-northwest of the Cabo Verde Islands, it has winds of 35 mph and is moving west-northwest at 14 mph. While it could strengthen into a tropical storm in the next 48 hours, it is expected to encounter hostile conditions that could limit its development. The depression is projected to remain over open water for several days.

The code orange has been lifted for Louisiana, no longer requiring 48-hour notice for new deliveries. We will continue to monitor market conditions and keep customers alerted as the situation progresses.
