Hurricane Francine Citizen Damage Reports

BATON ROUGE, LA - September 14, 2024 - In support of Parish disaster debris collection efforts, which was announced this week by Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome, the East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (MOHSEP) is providing recovery resources for residents affected by Hurricane Francine. "East Baton Rouge Parish is assisting the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) to obtain damage reports related to Hurricane Francine. Information collected will be used to support a request for additional disaster assistance and resources from FEMA. Completion of this damage assessment survey is not an application for or guarantee of assistance, nor does it open a claim to your insurance," says Mayor Broome

Residents who were affected by Hurricane Francine between September 10-September 12, are encouraged to complete the survey. This data will allow officials to gather information on the extent of damage incurred across EBRP. Further, survey results document the impact of this disaster on individuals, families, businesses and public infrastructure. The information will also assist with identifying recovery needs and continue efforts for debris removal around the Parish.

City-Parish crews will continue damage assessment work throughout the weekend. Debris removal crews will be dispatched throughout the Parish based on those assessments. However, if residents would like to report their storm debris piles, they are encouraged to do so by submitting a "Hurricane Francine Debris - September 2024" service request by going online to http://311.brla.gov or using the Red Stick 311 app. Residents can also dial 3-1-1 or 225-389-3090 if they don't have access to the web-based applications.

Residents can follow Red Stick Ready on Facebook, X, and Instagram for Hurricane Francine recovery resources or visit brla.gov/recovery.
