Nominations Sought for Fall 2024 Rising Researchers

Faculty members are encouraged to nominate eligible students under their supervision as Fall 2024 Rising Researchers.

The Rising Researcher award is designed to raise the profile of the university's most promising undergraduate students and to publicly acknowledge their excellent work. Undergraduate students who excel in research, scholarship or creative activity are eligible for the award, which is co-supported by University Relations, the Office of Research & Engagement and Commonwealth Honors College.

Students who are selected as Rising Researchers will receive a custom-engraved award to signify the honor and will be profiled across multiple media channels, including the UMass website. An event during the spring semester will also be held to celebrate the student honorees and their faculty mentors.

The deadline to submit nominations for the fall student award program is noon, Monday, Sept. 23, and students will also be required to submit supporting documentation.
