NGA Congratulates President-elect Trump, Urges Unity to Support Independent Grocers and their Communities

National Grocers Association President and CEO Greg Ferrara released the following statement on the results of the 2024 election:

"The National Grocers Association congratulates President-elect Trump and Vice President-elect Vance on their election victory. On behalf of the nation's independent grocery industry, we look forward to working collaboratively with the new administration and 119^th Congress to support Main Street businesses and the communities they serve.

The next Congress and Administration can provide relief for Americans at the checkout stand by working to advance policies and legislation that help reduce regulatory burdens that are hold back economic growth, promote competitive tax structures, especially for pass-through businesses, and ensure we have competitive markets that will help rebuild Main Street America. Independent grocers are vital to our communities, fueling local economies, creating jobs, and providing essential services."
