Wisconsin Avenue Reconstruction Project Ribbon-Cutting to Occur Wednesday, Nov. 13

The City of Peoria Department of Public Works will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the Wisconsin Avenue Reconstruction Project. The ceremony will begin at 11:30 am on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the corner of N Wisconsin Avenue and E Arcadia Avenue.

The ceremony is open to the public and attendees should utilize the parking lot at Heartland Health Services, 2321 N Wisconsin Ave.

The reconstruction of Wisconsin Avenue from Nebraska Avenue to McClure Avenue was a $6.5 million project that began in March 2024. The project included a complete reconstruction of the roadway, new sidewalks on the west side of the road, and a multi-use path on the east side.
