U.S. REP. BETTY McCOLLUM HONORS AMERICA’S HEROES ON VETERANS DAY

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Congresswoman Betty McCollum, Dean of the Minnesota Congressional Delegation and Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense, released the following statement in observance of Veterans Day:

"On Veterans Day, we honor the commitment and bravery of those who served in the U.S. Armed Forces, and the families and loved ones who support our heroes. We recognize those in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Merchant Marines, and Space Force who fought for the ideals and freedoms we cherish as Americans."

"To all veterans in Minnesota and across the country: Thank you for defending our nation's democracy. Just as the military leaves no service member behind on the battlefield, we must leave no veteran behind when they return home."

This morning, Rep. McCollum attended the 2024 State of Minnesota Veterans Day Program, which took place in Minnesota's Fourth Congressional District at the Minnesota National Guard Ben Franklin Readiness Center in Arden Hills.
