Locally, AIA New York is beginning the leadership identification process by seeking candidates for the 2025 Nominating Committee.

AIANY membership will vote to elect the committee in October 2024. Those elected will serve on the Nominating Committee from January to June of 2025, with bi-weekly meetings conducted virtually and sometimes in-person at AIANY | Center for Architecture. The Committee identifies a slate of leaders for 2026 board and elective committee who will be elected at the next AIA New York Annual Meeting in June 2025.

We invite you to join us September 18 for an open meeting (and networking happy hour) where Architect, International Associate, Emeritus, and Associate members of AIANY can provide candidate names for the Nominating Committee Ballot. This is democracy in action; please join us! Better yet, come with another member-a friend, coworker, former classmate, or ARE study buddy-to share in this visioning of the organization's future. Members who are unable to come in person may submit candidate names in advance by emailing [email protected] by 5 pm on Tuesday, September 17.
