Marshalltown Woman Charged with Insurance Fraud

Des Moines - Amanda Manatt, age 35, of Marshalltown was charged with one count of Insurance Fraud - Presenting False Information (Class D Felony), following an investigation by the Iowa Insurance Division's Fraud Bureau.

The charges against Manatt stem from an investigation that began in April of 2024. According to the criminal complaint filed by the Iowa Insurance Division's Fraud Bureau, while working as a Registered Nurse at a hospital, Manatt falsified patient records causing the submission of an insurance claim to an insurer for medical services that were not provided.

Manatt was arrested on May 31, 2024 and transported to the Marshalltown Police Department. Manatt posted a $5,000 bond and was released.
