Planned Road Work for Mid-Missouri

Sept. 16 - 22, 2024

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.-The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the mid-Missouri area Sept. 16- 22, 2024. Weather conditions may postpone scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures whichcould cause delays.  

All Counties

Moving operations such as pothole patching, mowing, brush cutting,and pavement repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment.

All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.

Boone County

U.S. Route 63- Resurfacingcontinues from Missouri Route 763 (Range Line Street) to Route B. One lane maybe closed, weekdays and Saturdays.Hours of work will vary based on the location and type of work being conducted.The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024.

U.S. Route 63ramps at Oakland Gravel Road and Prathersville Road - Pavement repairs will CLOSE the rampsSept. 16 - 19. Motorists will need to seek an alternative routefrom 7:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Route HH -Pavement patching planned Sept. 16 - 19 from Route B to Route Z. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Missouri Routes 151, 22, and 124 intersection -Roundabout construction continuesin Centralia. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024. 

I-70- Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.  

Route TT-Upgrades to pedestrian facilities plannedon Broadway in the city of Columbia, between Route ZZand Silvey Street. The project is scheduled for completion in December2024.

Callaway County

Route A -Pavement patching planned Sept. 16 - 19 from I-70 to Route B. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Old Jefferson City Road - Intersection improvements continue at the U.S. Route 54 crossover in Fulton.The crossover is CLOSED,and a signed detour is in place.The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

U.S. Route 54 - Resurfacing continues from north of the Missouri River to Route OO. Single-lane closures will occur at varying times, depending on the location. Expect delays during morning/evening rush hours. The project is expected to continue through November 2024.

I-70- New pavement construction continues from the Boone County line to Kingdom City(near mile marker 145) as part of the Improve I-70 Program.Learn more at modot.org/improvei70/columbiakingdomcity

Camden County

Route TT - Pavement patching planned Sept. 17 from Route F to state maintenaceends. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Cole County

U.S. Route 50/63 - Pothole patching planned Sept. 16 - 19from LisletownRoad to Sanford Creek bridge.

U.S. Route 54- Bridge rehabilitation continues over U.S. Route 50 and McCarty Street in Jefferson City. U.S. Route 54 will remain open but is narrowed to one lane in each direction between south of the Missouri River and Missouri Boulevard for up to 90 calendar days. Width restrictions are in place. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024.

Missouri Boulevard- Ramp CLOSEDfrom Business U.S. 50 (Missouri Boulevard) to eastbound U.S. Route 54 through October. Motorist must use an alternate route.

West Main Street- Beginning the week of Sept. 16, the rampfrom westbound U.S. Route 54 to West Main Street will be CLOSED through October. Motorist must use an alternate route.

U.S. Route 50 - Beginning the week of Sept. 16, the ramp from eastbound U.S. Route 54 to U.S. Route 50 (east and westbound) will be CLOSED through October. Motorist must use an alternate route. Route D - Bridge deck replacement continuesover North Moreau Creekbridge. The road is CLOSEDbetween Hunters Haven Drive and Knoll Road, anda signed detour isin place. The project is scheduled for completion in October2024.

Cooper County

Missouri Route 41 - Milling and resurfacing continuesfrom Arrow Rock Road to Missouri Route 135. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route K- Milling and resurfacing continuesfrom Route 41 to Outer Road I-70. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

I-70 - Bridge paintingcontinues nightly atthe Lamine River bridgesnear mile marker 93. One lane will remain open.The project is scheduled for completion in September2024.

I-70- Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.  

Crawford County

Route H ramp to westbound I-44 -Ramp from Route H to westbound I-44 CLOSED forshoulder workSept. 16- 19.

North Outer Road 44 - Milling and resurfacing planned Sept. 16- 19from Route J to EssmanDunn Road in the city of Bourbon. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Missouri Route 8 - Pothole patching planned Sept. 16- 19from Route 3 to Route Y. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Missouri Route 19 - Roadside work planned Sept. 16- 19from Mill Springs to Missouri Route 49. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route 49 - Roadside work and pothole patching planned Sept. 16- 19from Route 19 to the Iron County line. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Old Route 66- Diamond grinding planned Sept. 16- 19from Route UU to Outer Road 44. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route E-Culvert replacement planned Sept. 16-19from Route 8 to MullenRoad.One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route Y - Culvert replacement plannedSept. 16- 19from Route 49in Viburnum (Iron County)to Route V.One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

I-44- Resurfacingcontinues from just west of Cuba to the Franklin County line.One lane will remain open. The projectis scheduled for completion in November2024.

Dent County

Route CC-Pavement repair planned Sept. 16- 19from Route C in Texas County to Route H. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route H- Pothole patchingplanned Sept. 16- 19from U.S. Route 63in PhelpsCounty to Missouri Route 72. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Gasconade County

RoutesE,K,Z, W, and NN -Resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

Routes KK and OO - Resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024.

Howard County

Missouri Route 5- Resurfacing continues from U.S. Route 40 to Missouri Route 87. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

Missouri Route 240- Resurfacing continues from U.S. Route 40 to Route 5. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

Missouri Route 87 - Seal coating scheduledto begin Sept. 16 from Route 40 to Route 240. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

Laclede County

Route O - Pothole patching planned Sept. 16 - 19 from Route 5 to Missouri Route 95. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Missouri Route 64 - Bridge replacementcontinuesat the Goodwin HollowCreek Bridge.The road is CLOSEDto all traffic. Asigned detour is inplace. The project is scheduled for completion in November2024.

Route B - Bridge deck replacement continuesat the Osage Fork Bridge. The road isCLOSEDto all traffic with a signed detour directing motorists around the closure. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.

Miller County

Missouri Route 17 - Seal coating continuesfrom Route 42 to the city of Waynesville. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

Moniteau County

Route B - Pothole patchingplanned Sept. 16- 17from Route J in Cooper County to U.S. Route 50 in Moniteau County. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route F - Pothole patching planned Sept. 17 - 19 from Route 87 to Route E. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route MM - Pothole patching planned Sept. 18 - 18 from Route F to the end of state maintenance. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Osage County

Routes DD, HH, JJ,KK, NN, OOand RA- Resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024.

Phelps County

North Outer Road44- Pothole patching planned Sept. 16- 19from Route V to Missouri Route 68. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

South Outer Road44(Dillion Outer Road)- Pothole patching planned Sept. 16- 19from Route V to Route 68. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route 68 - Culvert replacement planned Sept. 16- 19from Route V to Matlock Drive. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route T - Pavement patching planned Sept. 16 - 19, 3 miles north of Route M. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route E- Seal coat operation planned Sept. 16-19. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route E -Pothole patching planned Sept. 16- 19from County Road 8300 and Meadows Drive. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag through the work zone.

Route V- Pothole patching planned Sept. 16- 19from Flat Grove Road and Howard Drive. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag through the work zone.

Routes H, P, T andCC- Pothole patching planned Sept. 16 - 19. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route F - Seal coatingplanned Sept. 16- 19. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Routes 8and DD-Upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of St. James. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in October2024.  

I-44 -Road resurfacing and reconstruction continues from Exit 186 in Rolla to Exit 195 in St. James. Expect around-the-clock lane closures from U.S. Route 63 to Route 68. An 11-foot width restriction is in place. The end date for the project is yet to be determinedbased on concrete qualityissuesthat will need to be corrected. Pulaski County

Route AB - Pothole patching planned Sept. 16- 19from Route 17 to Route 133.One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route AB - Pothole patching planned Sept. 19 from the Big Piney River bridge to Tear Drop Road.One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route 17 - Seal coating continues from Route 42 to the city of Waynesville. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

Route Y -Resurfacing continues from Lemming Lane to Heller Lane in St. Robert. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

I-44 - Bridge maintenance continues at mile marker 160. Nightly lane closures are expected from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.

Business Loop 44 -Bridge rehabilitation continues over I-44in St. Robert.Business Loop 44 is open but narrowed to one lane in each direction in a head-to-head configuration. An 11-foot width restriction isin place. The project is scheduled for completion in December2024. 

Washington County

Missouri Route 21- Pavementpatchingplanned Sept. 16- 19from Route C to the city limits of Potosi. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Missouri Route 47-Bridge rehabilitationcontinuesover Mineral Fork Creek. Traffic will narrow to one lane with temporary signals in place. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024.
