State Police are seeking public assistance with potentially identifying a male from the summer, in the town of Keene or surrounding areas.
On July 9, 2024, at approximately 5:43 p.m., State Police members were informed of an unidentified male inappropriately exposing himself to at least two children near the Hulls Falls Road Bridge over the Ausable River in the town of Keene. The unidentified male was a Caucasian older male, heavier in size, balding with light-colored or white hair on the sides of his head, wearing a light blue raincoat and dark blue pants. He was sitting on the bank of the river across from the children in the water. The male left the area in an unknown direction, and unknown by foot or vehicle.
Troopers responded to the area to attempt to locate the unidentified male and searched other local swimming areas where children could be. State Police members continue to investigate this incident actively. During the summer of 2024, other law enforcement agencies have had similar complaints. The different areas that have been investigated are Split Rock Falls swimming hole located on State Route 9 in the town of Elizabethtown, and a swimming hole on State Route 73 across from Five Mountain Loop trailhead. Throughout all the investigations the description of the unidentified male has been the same. If anyone has information pertaining to this incident on that day in July, or if any children could relate to this type of incident happening in other locations during the summertime of 2024, they are asked to come forward or contact SP Ray Brook at 518-873-2750. This information could help further the investigation and help locate the unidentified male.
