Unveiling the Future: Denton Tennis & Pickleball Center

Since February of 2022, North Rock Construction has been constructing the highly anticipated DentonTennis & Pickleball Center. This facility is set to become the ultimate destination for tennis and pickleball enthusiasts alike. With a budget of $5.19 million dollars, made possible by the Denton voters' approval of the 2014 Bond Project, this ambitious endeavor is now nearing its completion, standing at 90%.

The DentonTennis & Pickleball Center is a testament to our community's commitment to providing greatrecreational facilities. Boasting an impressive array of amenities, the center features 12tennis courts, catering to both seasoned players and eager newcomers. Additionally, there are eightpickleball courts, allowing enthusiasts of all ages to engage in this exciting and rapidly growing sport.

In addition to the courts, the DentonTennis & Pickleball Center will showcase a captivating sculpture named "Serve." This extraordinary piece of art has been entrusted to the local artist Christine Sanders, in collaboration with a localmanufacturer 23 Design Co. The sculpture will grace the entrance of the courts, resting upon a solid concrete plinth. "Serve" features two interlocked rackets elegantly intertwined within a curving helix of tennis balls. The rackets themselves will be adorned with exquisite mosaic tilework, showcasing the artist's attention to detail and creative vision. Once completed, the sculpture will tower approximately 16feet high.

With the finishing touches underway, which includes, final touches on court surfacing & sidewalks, irrigation, landscaping, fencing, and the placement of furnishings, the Denton Tennis & Pickleball Center is inching closer to its grand opening. The grand opening, set to take place in the fall, marks a significant milestone in Denton's recreational landscape.
