Emergency Medicine’s Top Researchers Convene at the Research Forum During ACEP24

LAS VEGAS-The world's leading emergency medicine researchers, academics and practitioners will be discussing the future of emergency medicine and unveiling new data at the Research Forum during ACEP24, September 29-October 2. Media can click here to register and attend for free.

"Experts in emergency medicine are working to solve many of the biggest challenges in health care," said, Amber Sabbatini, MD, MPH, FACEP, 2024 Research Forum chair, and associate professor of emergency medicine and of health systems and population health at the University of Washington. "The Research Forum at ACEP24 is the premier scientific symposium for emergency medicine, showcasing the depth and breadth of science shaping emergency care practice and policy, and providing cutting-edge educational content and panel discussions."

This year, the Research Forum will be centered within the ACEP24 exhibit hall and feature more than 600 abstracts, posters, and international projects. The abstracts will be featured in a special supplement to Annals of Emergency Medicine.

Plenary session abstracts presented will cover topics including cardiac emergency survival, sepsis, reducing readmissions, artificial intelligence in the emergency department, tools to predict adverse outcomes, applications of early warning scores, solutions to crowding, and more.

During the conference, ACEP will recognize award winners for Best Medical Student Abstract, Best Resident Abstract, Best Early Career Abstract, and Best Overall Abstract.

The Research Forum keynote lecture this year provides an overview of telehealth in acute unscheduled care and innovation during public health emergencies.
