Extended Full Freeway Evening Closures of Westbound I-8 at Los Coches Road

SAN DIEGO - Caltrans contractors will close all lanes of westbound Interstate 8 (I-8) at Los Coches Road nightly, excluding Fridays and Saturdays, beginning Sunday, November 17 through Sunday December 8 for road maintenance. No closures are scheduled for Wednesday through Saturday, November 27-30.

Closure times are as follows:

• Sundays: 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• Mondays - Thursdays: 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Westbound I-8 motorists will take the Los Coches Road off-ramp and reenter the freeway using the Los Coches Road on-ramp. The Los Coches Road traffic signal will be set to flashing and flaggers will help direct traffic.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
