Pinal County Brings Home Two More Arizona Association for Economic Development Awards

The Pinal County Economic and Workforce Development Department once again brought home awards from the Arizona Association for Economic Development (AAED) annual Fall Forum held last week in Flagstaff.

After winning two Golden Prospector Awards last year, the team was awarded another two this year in the Marketing Brochure and Multimedia Promotion categories.

The Pinal County Economic Development Profile, for which the team won in the Marketing Brochure category, answers the question "Why Pinal County?" It showcases the County's many advantages, including highlights of key elements such as Community Snapshots, Business Climate, Talent/Workforce, Strategic Location, Skilled Workforce, Target Industries, and Quality of Life.

It has been distributed through economic development channels, site selectors, commercial real estate brokers, and strategic partners. Click here to view the brochure: https://issuu.com/pinalcentral/docs/pinal_county_folder_-_digital.

Meanwhile, the team won in the Multimedia Promotion category for the second consecutive year, this time for a video providing a summary of all the activity happening throughout Pinal County.

An idea that was born at Pinal Partnership Economic Development Committee Meetings, the video was produced by the County's Communications Department and Blossom Media, and features elected officials and economic development leaders from Pinal County, Apache Junction, Casa Grande, Coolidge, Eloy, Florence, Maricopa, Queen Creek and Superior/Eastern Pinal County discussing current projects and opportunities in their communities.

James Smith, Economic and Workforce Development Director, and Michelle Carpenter, Economic Development Coordinator, attended the event to receive the awards on behalf of the County.
