Share Your Thoughts on the Future of Standish!

The Town's Planning Department, Comprehensive Plan Committee, and NorthStar Planning have launched a survey to collect feedback on the draft vision statement and guiding principles for the Comprehensive Plan Update. The survey can be accessed via the project's website here: www.imaginestandish.com right on the front page. If interested, you can also sign up on this website for updates on the entire comprehensive planning process which has been underway since April.

The results from the survey will be used to craft a vision statement for that town that focuses on shared community values, illustrates a sense of identity, and identifies future needs of the community. Vision statements also depict an ideal future and qualities of the community, including physical, environmental, and social attributes.

The surveys will be compiled to create a singular vision statement for the Town of Standish and will be shared in the "What We've Learned - Sharing Data & Visioning" public workshop in November which is scheduled for November 13th 2024 at 6pm at Town Hall.

The Comprehensive Plan itself will be used to guide future growth and policy decisions for the town in the coming years.
