Police Arrest Four Suspects Following Smash and Grab Burglary in Belltown

Seattle Police arrested four suspects following a smash and grab burglary in Belltown Wednesday morning.

On July 31st at 2:28 a.m., patrol officers responded to a report of a commercial burglary in the 100 block of Blanchard Street.

Five suspects were involved, stealing items, and fleeing in a separate vehicle; they were not located. Witnesses reported multiple passersby entering the building afterward and taking items at opportunity.

Officers located an unoccupied vehicle that crashed into the building. Police caught two suspects fleeing and arrested them after brief foot chases. They conducted a building search and located two additional suspects hiding inside, both were arrested.

All four males, 29, 39, 57, 61, were placed into custody for Burglary 2nd Degree. Three of them were booked into King County Jail (KCJ). One suspect was declined booking by KCJ staff.

The crashed vehicle was impounded to the Processing Room. One of the suspects had a $4,000 arrest warrant for Trespass and Theft; another suspect had a $500 Theft warrant.

Detectives with the General Investigations Unit have been assigned to this case.
