LUCAS COUNTY: Weekly Construction Update

Week of July 1, 2024

Bowling Green, Ohio (Friday, June 28, 2024) - The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Lucas County in the coming weeks. All outlined work is weather permitting.

Project ID: 93592

Interstate 75, between Buck Road and Monroe Street, Toledo/Rossford/Northwood, may experience occasional lane restrictions for finish work related to a reconstruction project.
  • Southbound I-75will be reduced to two lanes (auxiliary lane open) for parapet wall corrective work near South Ave. through mid-June.
  • Southbound I-75right shoulder is closed near Wales Road for barrier wall repairs.
  • Southbound I-75, south of South Ave. will experience lane restrictions for final surface course application beginning mid-to-late June.

Interstate 75, between SR 795 and Buck Road, Rossford,will experience lane restrictions for reconstruction of the Lime City Road bridge through summer 2025. Additional restrictions will be announced.
  • Lime City Road over Interstate 75, Rossford, is closed through mid-October. Detour: Buck Rd. to Glenwood Rd. to Lime City Rd.
  • I-75 may be reduced to one lane overnight, weeknights, for bridge deck removal, 8 p.m.-5 a.m. daily through early July.

Interstate 280, between SR 51 and SR 2, will experience lane and shoulder restrictions for resurfacing through October. Ramp restrictions and closures will be announced.
  • Southbound I-280traffic is maintained in two lanes with no shoulder through summer.
  • Northbound I-280is reduced to one lane with no shoulder through summer.
  • Additional ramp restrictions will be announced.

Project ID: 99731

Interstate 475, between Airport Highway and U.S. Route 24, Maumee, will have lane restrictions for I-475 widening and construction of a new interchange at U.S. Route 20A through December 2024. Additional restrictions will be announced.

CONTINUING IMPACTS

  • Westbound US 24 to southbound I-475 rampis closed through mid-August.
    • Detour:Northbound I-475 to Dussel Dr. to southbound I-475.
  • Southbound I-475 ramp to westbound US 24is closed through mid-August. Detour: Southbound I-475 to SR 25 to northbound I-475.
  • U.S. Route 24, between near Monclova Rd. and Dutch Rd., Maumee/Waterville, will experience overnight lane restrictions for resurfacing through July. Working hours are 7 p.m.-7 a.m.
    • Overnight ramp closures are possible at Fallen Timbers Lane for paving and pavement tie-ins.

U.S. Route 24 will experience lane restrictions for pot hole filling from the Henry County line to east of SR 64 through early July.

U.S. Route 24/Anthony Wayne Trail, between Monclova Rd. and Detroit Ave., Maumee,will experience daytime lane restrictions for various work items through early summer.
  • AW Trail east of Ford St. will reopen to two lanes for the Holiday weekend beginning Tuesday night, July 2. The zone will be reinstated beginning Monday, July 8 for the remainder of work to be completed. Sidewalk pours are underway to complete the sidewalks at Conant St./AW Trail.

State Route 25/AW Trail Delaware Creek Culvert: This project replaces a culvert 50' under the roadway. No restrictions expected to AW Trail. Local roads including Fanning Dr. and Rohr Blvd. beginning of work is delayed. A future start date will be announced.

State Route 295, north of US 20A,is closed for railroad repairs performed by the railroad through June. Work performed by railroad.
