The State of Hawaii Public Utilities Commission will hold a public hearing on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the Kapolei High School Cafeteria regarding Hawaiian Electric's application for the Campbell Estate Industrial Park-46 (CEIP-46) Roosevelt Avenue Reconductoring Project ("Project"). All are invited to attend the public hearing and state their views on the application, which is described further below.

Brief Summary of Application
On August 14, 2023, Hawaiian Electric filed an Application, ("Application"), requesting that the Commission approve the commitment of approximately $3,817,704 in funds for the Project. Hawaiian Electric says the Project is needed because its existing CEIP-46 46 kilovolt sub-transmission circuit will lack sufficient transmission capacity to serve future projected loads under contingency conditions starting in August 2025, and that construction of the Project will resolve projected circuit overloads on the CEIP-46 46kV circuit under contingency conditions within the required timeframes.
