Hans Zimmer Live Kicks Off Its Sold-Out North American Tour With the Multiple Award-Winning Composer Delivering a Powerhouse Set at Gas South Arena in Duluth, GA
DULUTH, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- A packed crowd filled Gas South Arena in Duluth, GA this past Friday to witness award-winning composer Hans Zimmer officially kickoff his sold-out North American tour Hans Zimmer Live . The highly anticipated tour marks the North American return of Zimmer who rocked Coachella in 2017. With the support of his outstanding 18-piece live band and a full orchestra, audiences were taken on a musical journey across Zimmer's career.
"I can't imagine a more perfect night," stated Zimmer. "The crowd at Gas South Arena was electric and we gave them a show they'll never forget."
In a groundbreaking audio and visual experience, the multiple Academy Awards ® and GRAMMY ® winning Zimmer, his band and the orchestra performed newly arranged concert suites which include music from Dune: Part Two,Gladiator , Pirates of the Caribbean , The Dark Knight , Interstellar , The Lion King , The Last Samurai and Dune: Part One , for which Zimmer received his second Academy Award ® .
Upon its announcement earlier this year, Hans Zimmer Live became a hot ticket with second shows added in Los Angeles, Oakland, and Las Vegas for a total of 20 shows across 17 cities in the U.S. and Canada. Having scored more than 500 projects across all mediums, Zimmer has been honored with two Academy Awards ® , three Golden Globes ® , four GRAMMYS ® , an American Music Award, and a Tony ® Award. Highlights include the Academy Award ® winning score for Denis Villeneuve's Dune: Part One , as well as the score for Dune: Part Two which was released earlier this year.
