LONGVIEW, Texas (Nov. 21, 2024) - INVISTA employees in Longview, Texas, have once again been recognized with the highest safety award from the U.S. Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA). The polypropylene manufacturing facility was recently awarded Star status under OSHA's Voluntary Protection Program (VPP), marking the site's fifth recertification since its initial certification in 2001.
"For more than 20 years, our team's unwavering dedication to maintaining a safe work environment has resulted in VPP Star honors," commented Chris Benson, site manager at INVISTA Longview. "I'm proud of our team and the commitment shown over the years to maintain this recognition."
OSHA awarded the VPP Star recertification to the Longview site after a thorough third-party audit as part of the VPP recertification process. The agency evaluated the site's safety and health programs, operations performance and safety record.
