Chicago Department of Public Health and Chicago Public Schools Partner For Student Mental Health

WHAT:

Chicago Public Schools (CPS) and Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) are convening a Back-to-School Mental Health conference for community-based mental health professionals to facilitate increased coordination with schools for student mental health.

CDPH and CPS leadership have established a strong partnership and coordination strategy to ensure that all CPS students have consistent access to effective mental health services both in school and through partnerships with community providers. Focusing on prevention, promotion, and intervention of mental health services in school settings can assist students in getting the care they need, when they need it. Coordination with community partners can offer continued services for students and their families outside of school settings.
