Bahraini investors have shown strong interest in investing in Montenegro, and opportunities for collaboration are plentiful. This message emerged from a meeting between Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajić and members of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, held during Spajić's two-day official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Prime Minister Spajić presented Montenegro's investment portfolio to the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce, highlighting the nation's natural resources, strategic location, favourable tax policies, and stable political environment, all of which make Montenegro one of the most attractive countries for investment in the region and Europe.
Bahraini business representatives introduced Spajić to Bahrain's economic framework and expressed particular interest in investing in Montenegro's tourism, energy, real estate, and technology sectors. "We've heard a lot about your country, and we are eager to collaborate and look forward to future projects," they stated.
One of the challenges noted was the need for improved air connectivity between the two countries and a more streamlined visa policy, which both sides agreed to address in the near future.
The participants underscored the importance of investment security as a critical factor in economic growth. In this context, they discussed alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, and Spajić shared Montenegro's efforts to establish an International Arbitration Court within the Montenegrin Chamber of Economy, emphasising that investor security is an absolute priority for Montenegro.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to establish formal cooperation with the Montenegrin Chamber of Economy and to enhance communication between relevant ministries to promote Montenegro's investment potential.
