Mike Rogers has enriched himself while supporting policies that would spike costs for Michiganders

LANSING - Mike Rogers' won't be able to hide his long record of enriching himself at the expense of Michigan families. Rogers supports policies that would spike costs for working Michiganders, including repealing health care, slashing Social Security and Medicare, voting against lowering the cost of prescription drugs, taking away workers' rights, passing tax giveaways that slash taxes for billionaires but does nothing for Michigan working families.

"Mike Rogers' record is clear - he will do anything to enrich himself at the expense of working families. Rogers is only in this race for himself, and that's why Michigan families can't trust him to represent us in the Senate," said Michigan Democratic Party spokesperson Sam Chan.

Here's what you need to know about Mike Rogers putting himself first at the expense of working families:

• Rogers voted against the Affordable Care Act, and he has vowed to repeal the Affordable Care Act. A repeal of the ACA would result in millions of Michiganders being denied health care access and spike costs for families.

• Rogers wants to slash Social Security and transform Medicare into a voucher program which would rip away Michiganders' benefits that they worked a lifetime to earn and raise health care costs.

• Rogers has voted against measures to lower the cost of prescription drugs.

• Rogers has attacked workers and "voted consistently against the interests of workers."

• Rogers voted to slash taxes for billionaires like Betsy DeVos, and he supports passing tax giveaways that slash taxes for the wealthiest few but do nothing for Michigan families.

• After Congress, Rogers abandoned Michigan to walk through the revolving door and make an "explosion of immense wealth" by selling out Michiganders and our national security.
