(b)On August 4, 2024, Ronald B. Kalich resigned from the Board of Directors of Surmodics, Inc. (the "Company"). Mr. Kalich stated that he was resigning for health reasons. Mr. Kalich's resignation was not the result of any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to its operations, policies or practices.
