State Police Investigating a personal injury accident in the town...

On July 1, 2024, at 9:22 p.m., State Police responded to Makyes Road in the Town of Onondaga for a personal injury vehicle vs. bicycle crash.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2013 Ford F150 pickup truck operated by Alden M. Carroll, age 18, from Syracuse, was traveling south on Makyes Road when he attempted to turn left into a driveway, striking a bicyclist who was riding along the shoulder of the roadway. The bicyclist is identified as Thomas R. Nolan, age 30, from Syracuse. Mr. Nolan was transported to Upstate University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is continuing.
