JD Da Boss crowned Canes Fan of the Year

A dedicated season ticket holder, JD Disilus, aka "JD Da Boss," earned the title from over 1,100 submissions for his unwavering support of University athletics, attending a wide range of sporting events and showcasing his passion for all teams.

As a show of gratitude to the incredible fans who bring the Canes spirit to life, the University of Miami Department of Intercollegiate Athletics in collaboration with Human Resources, launched the Canes Fan of the Year competition to find the University's most dedicated fan.

During the campaign, which ran from Aug. 5 to Sept. 16, more than 1,100 submissions poured in from fans nominating either themself or someone else. Athletics and Human Resources reviewed the top candidates, selected five finalists, and ultimately recommended the Canes Fan of the Year.

And the winner is: JD Disilus, known in the community as "JD Da Boss."
