Friday, Sunday Night Lane Closures on I-285 for Safety Project
METRO ATLANTA - Contractors for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will install lane closures on Interstate 285 (I-285) this weekend in Clayton County as they continue a safety project on the interstate between Fayetteville Road and I-75 in Clayton County. This project will include restriping activities on I-285 to improve the visibility of roadway pavement markings.
Weather and on-site conditions permitting, one right lane will be closed on I-285 eastbound and westbound between Fayetteville Road and I-75 beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday, June 28 until 5 a.m. on Saturday, and 9 p.m. on Sunday until 5 a.m. on Monday.
This $318,000 million safety and maintenance project is scheduled for completion in late summer 2024.
