Brooklyn Man Arrested For Felony Drug Possession

PRESS RELEASE

On October 7, 2024, the New York State Police Community Stabilization Unit arrested a Brooklyn man for felony drug possession in the town of Taghkanic.

At approximately 10:50 a.m., Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 2013 Infiniti G37 for violations of the vehicle and traffic law on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Taghkanic. Investigation determined the operator, Alphonso C Edmundson Quzack, age 39, of Brooklyn, NY, was in illegal possession of approximately 416.5 grams of crack-cocaine, and 90.3 grams of cocaine.

Quzack was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 1st degree, a class A-I felony, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree with Intent to Sell, a class B felony. Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia, both class A misdemeanors.

Quzack was arraigned before the town of Claverack Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail.
